Council of School Leaders Winter Conference (Manitoba)

Critical Leadership for
Sustainable Change

COSL Winter Conference Brochure 2012

Registration can be found here.

The ability to be forward thinking and critically examine the issue of sustainability preserves the notion that learning matters. Sustainability is the potential for long-term maintenance of well being, which has environmental, economic, and social dimensions. Our school communities are facing many emerging issues, which lead to a need to communicate, find meaning, and create change in the local and global world. Critical Leadership transforms status quo educational practices and allows for the engagement of entire learning communities intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. It addresses the ‘whole child’, which is at the heart of what we do. The greater the challenge, the greater the impact school leaders have in their communities.

Today’s school leaders examine practice, inspire others, and are committed to creating lasting improvement over time – sustainable change. On behalf of all educators in Manitoba, we invite all of you to attend our annual February Conference.
